MICHAEL A. FADOR
Elected eight times, Mike has served 27 years at St. Clairsville-Richland City and appointed to Belmont-Harrison Career Center for the past 18 years. He serves as Legislative Liaison for the St. Clairsville-Richland City board. A retired teacher, Mike has been active at the region and state levels of OSBA. He served as president of the Southeast Region in 2017 and has been a delegate to several Delegate Assemblies at the Capital Conference. At the state level with OSBA, he has served on the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, Nominating Committee, the Federal Relations Network, Board Member Cabinet, Ambassadors for Education, and the VISA Strategic Plan Review Team as well as attending numerous Board Leadership Institutes. Mike is always prepared for his board meetings and is appreciated by the various staff for his support of educational opportunities. He is keenly aware of the variety of challenges facing the two boards on which he serves. His knowledge of the issues facing districts at the local, regional, state, and national levels is a benchmark of his dedication and service. Active in his community, he is a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Sons of the American Legion, and the Council of Exceptional Children. Mike and his wife, Bonnie, are the proud parents of two children. Mike is known for his integrity, his honesty, always fair and non-judgmental. He gives of himself to help others, no matter the time of day, and never expects anything in return. He is always willing. Willing to serve, willing to go, and willing to help in any way. His example and professionalism to others have benefitted his community and the education of the children in Belmont County the backbone of an outstanding school board member.
AUDITOR OF STATE AWARD
A recent financial audit of the St. Clairsville-Richland City School District by the Auditor of State’s office has returned a clean audit report. St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools’excellent record keeping has earned it the Auditor of State Award. Congratulations to Treasurer Amy Porter and her assistants Betty Milhoan and Valerie Lachendro!
NSBA ADVOCACY INSTITUTE
Mike Fador, St. Clairsville-Richland City Board of Education member and President of the OSBA Southeast Region Executive Committee, met with U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson while attending the NSBA Advocacy institute & Equity Symposium in Washington D.C.

The Ohio School Boards Association thanked Michael Fador for his contributions as a member of the OSBA Board of Trustees. OSBA Director of Management Services Van D. Keating presented the plaque at the October 12th St. Clairsville Schools' Board of Education meeting. Mr. Fador also serves with the OSBA Capital Conference Planning Task Force, Delegate Assembly, Federal Relations Network, and Board Member Cabinet. In addition, and is OSBA Southeast Region president-elect and a member of the region's Executive Committee.
